There’s no cover for the poo bin and the pee bottle seems like it was deliberately designed to be difficult to drain. Also the little silicone gasket that fits in the pee bottle lid falls into the pee all the time because the seal is bad, so that’s not fun to fish out. All in all I’m pretty disappointed, but hey, I spent all that money on it so I guess I have to make it work.

I haven't used it. Plan on that happening in a few months. On the trips we taken recently, we've had camp grounds with vault toilets

Having too much water in the solution or cleaning with just water would lead to urine scale build up and smells. Been using the basic bucket set up which is fine but I really like the Trelino for many reasons. It’s more compact, has all the parts inside one box. It’s square…I know it seems funny but I like everything to fit corner to corner. I always worry about overflowing the pee bucket so I end up dumping it before even half full but it’ll hold more than I thought! Very easy to manage. It’s been very clean and easy to use. I’m an older woman but had a tiny visitor who, as they say, “blew it up” and it was still very quick and easy to clean. I’ve had zero problems with smells at all, and I like the lid closes over the edges.

I'm using my small Trelino in my cargo van as an on the road or in the camp toilet. I was using a bucket toilet with a non integrated urine sparater that I had to screw to a toilet seat and cut out the rim of the bucket to make it work. The trelino is integrated well, is small, and convenient. Much better than my bucket DIY. I am considering getting a larger one from my 26ft trailerable sailboar. Might I suggest you look to expanding your design to consruct a watertight sewage bucket for whitewater rafting wilderness trips. The current designs do not include a uring separator which would be a good addition.

We purchased the Trelino Evo L for use in our camper van after doing a lot of research. The Evo S would have fit better, but we wanted more volume so we wouldn't have to dump/dispose of waste so often. I agree with many of the reviews that the price for this toilet is a bit much. Our cassette toilet had at least the same build quality and volume, but was 1/4 of the price. The Evo L is fairly comfortable to use and when not in use as a toilet we use it as an extra seat in the van.There is no odor from the toilet with the lid closed. There is an odor from the pee container when the lid is open, but we have controlled it fairly well using a vinegar/water spray after each use and adding a cup or two of vinegar to the empty container after each emptying. We are still experimenting to find the best solution. We have emptied the container after a maximum of 4 days of use and probably could have gone 1 more day. We use sawdust to cover the poop and there is virtually no smell. We have gone about 5 days before disposing of the bag that came with the toilet. Overall we are pleased with the purchase, except for the steep cost, and would recommend it to our friends.
I love that I don’t have to empty my Trelino everyday like I did for my toilet bucket, or but RV chemicals for it.
So stylish, light, easy to set up use and clean. Absolutely worth the $!

First of all all, since purchasing and using the compost toilet, it fulfills all my uses and is very comfortable in my RV. I was originally concerned regarding smell but there has been none. The company has been very communicative with my re-ordering the membrane. This product and the customer service is very good.
Been using a cassette toilet for 2 years. Mainly for #1/ liquid and it has been horrible to empty and clean. I used the trelino for the first time on a ten day trip and have to say it is a game changer. I even reccomended it to some of my van friends and they are going to get one too!
Takes a few times to get the hang of where to sit (either forward or back) but then works great. Still experimenting with what type of media to use for #2. We go through quite a large amount of media in a day for two people in order to control odor. Still notice a bit of funky odor from #2 so we dispose of daily. Overall happy with the Trelino. Customer Service was excellent!
The Trelino does the job. Make sure to sit at the front of the toilet when going #1, otherwise the liquids easily flow into the solids portion. Overall, the unit feels flimsy. It is lightweight, so that is a plus. My cassette toilet is easier to use, and easier to empty, so I have switched back to the cassette toilet.
it is functional as described and small footprint for a van - seems pretty sturdy and should last just based on the first month of experience only.
The can could be much better quality for the price, and the pee jug has no handle on small version.
The resin for the 3 stars is pretty much solely based on the price - which is absolutely ridiculous for the materials and construction.
The price for this on CDN site should be no more than $200-$300 max, after taxes and delivery $1000 still has me shaking my head at the price i paid.
It's light, simple to use, and fits under our Sprinter seat. Five stars!
Very nice toilet that is easy to use and maintain. It replaces a flush toilet in a truck camper. My goal is to remain autonomous as long as possible. Not waisting water by flushing helps me towards my goal. We use wood chips from a cabinet maker. He said take as much as you want !!
I would say that we are still trying to tame the smell. There really isn’t much. But l’m sure we can bring it to zero. Besides the wood chips, we add a bit of dry coffee ground and soda each time we use it. We are still experimenting.
I fixed the toilet to the floor with velcro. So removing it is very easy.
We are very happy with it.
Trelino has made my life SO MUCH EASIER! I live full-time in my camper, and it was always a stressor to find a place to pump out the black tank. Now that I have the Trelino, I am free to go wherever without worrying about pumping out! It's the best composting toilet out there. Simple. Smell free. Easy to use. 10/10!
