This toilet is a great option for composting being able to throw away number two out daily is convenient. Having a fan option to control odors would be great addition. Another great thing to add to this would be a platform to rise it up a little and also be used for storage like a competitor toilet. Aesthetic of this toilet is much nicer
I think this will be May favorite camping toilet. I own two other camping toilets, the Clean Waste Go Anywhere and a Wrapping Green (now called the Trekker). The CleanWaste toilet I only take a long on long day trip in case needed or a quick & minimalistic overnighter. The Wrapping has been my go to toilet for years and has served me very well. The cons of both systems is the cost of bags. The Wrapping, while it has been awesome, has the added complexity of needing power & setup. I made my small battery pack but when the vehicle is packed, you can't just pull it out quickly for a rest stop.
I ordered the Trelino Evo L to have a lighter weight & simple setup. I got the L simply due to the more comfortable height after all no one gets younger. I made a Trelino accessory kit box using an Outdoorcrates OC7 gray box. My kit contains: 4 rolls of TP, 2 butt wipe packages removed from their container g in a small outdoor products mini dry box, 1qt nalgene of white vinegar, 1qt nalgene of urine neutralizer odor eliminator, 1 spray bottle of the urine neutralizer, & a 5L sea to summit bag & 1 cup scoup of a mix of hemp litter, fine coco fiber, & biochar I use as my litter.
When I received my Trelino, I set it up in my bathroom and used it for a week. Using 1 cup of vinegar in the bottle then spraying the urine collector area with the ordor neutralizer eliminated odors. I also purchased the urine collector red plug that was reinserted after use. My litter mixture above, 2 cups initial then 1 cup to cover worked to cover up any poop odor.
I like that I can put in a fresh bag 2 cups of litter & put 1 cup in the urine bottle when we leave for a trip. That way it is all ready to put out & use with no setup. We are overlanders who go on trips ranging from 1 night to 1 month at a time. I am glad the Trelino, being ready to go & so easy to use eliminates even having to use a shovel to dig a whole for a quick stop. I have a side mounted quick open g close privacy shower/toilet tent mounted to my roof rack so it & the Trelino make a quick rest stop.
Small and easy to use, cleaning, dumping is a breeze
Pros: LOVE IT. In my opinion, it’s Great for a small children or SHORT adults. Doesn’t smell. Lightweight. Great for camping and van life.
Cons: This size Not good for adults with knee issues, or adults that have lower back problems to squat down low. Purchase M or Lg if you have any issues.
I’m saving for the Medium size, due to bad knees im unable too use mine. The S is too small for me, so it’s put away for the grandkids visit.
BUT, it’s a great product, I really did love it when I used it. I’ve tried a few other brands, but Trelino so far is the best that I’ve found for my van life getaways. Purchase Trelino toilets for all your restroom needs.
I haven’t used it yet but love it.
Great idea of a design!
This is a game changer for our adventure van. It came with a small cassette toilet & we knew that was not going to work. This toilet is simple & hands down worth every penny. Love, love it.
A fantastic product. We bought last minute for a camping trip in a camper topper only. A 1 week trip. My wife approved. Her approval made the trip a success.
I’m a full time rv traveler ( retired ) and I always try to be extra prepared as I’m not always where I can get packages delivered. I also like a clean environment so I’m so happy for a way to have things on hand I might need later. Thank you for having these available for my emergency parts kit. I’ve never lost one or had one damaged but I do like to replace them occasionally.
The toilet is yet unused but the plastic had a scratch on its top. This should not be the case for an expensive item like this.
Could not find any return label even if they announce to have 30 days free return. Also I’d like only to exchange the top or the whole toilet but not return it.
Very simple set up that works as designed
Works really well. Very easy set up and no smells. Disposing of waste extremely simple
There’s no cover for the poo bin and the pee bottle seems like it was deliberately designed to be difficult to drain. Also the little silicone gasket that fits in the pee bottle lid falls into the pee all the time because the seal is bad, so that’s not fun to fish out. All in all I’m pretty disappointed, but hey, I spent all that money on it so I guess I have to make it work.

Fit well. Bought extra containers so we can extend boondocking.
A decent van toilet, price is kinda nuts

I haven't used it. Plan on that happening in a few months. On the trips we taken recently, we've had camp grounds with vault toilets
It has been a game changer in my vanlife. I only wish I would have bought the taller one. Thanks 😁
We Like in ourCampervan, Mercedes Sprinter our Trelino!!!
How you clean the blue canister perfectli?
All the best Gabriella
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. For cleaning the canister, we suggest using a vinegar or citric acid solution. Having too much water in the solution or cleaning with just water would lead to urine scale build up and smells. If you're noticing this issue, then you can adjust your cleaning solution to be more concentrated with the vinegar or citric acid. If you have any other questions, just reach out to us at hello@mytrelino.com and our support would be happy to help!
Been using the basic bucket set up which is fine but I really like the Trelino for many reasons. It’s more compact, has all the parts inside one box. It’s square…I know it seems funny but I like everything to fit corner to corner. I always worry about overflowing the pee bucket so I end up dumping it before even half full but it’ll hold more than I thought! Very easy to manage. It’s been very clean and easy to use. I’m an older woman but had a tiny visitor who, as they say, “blew it up” and it was still very quick and easy to clean. I’ve had zero problems with smells at all, and I like the lid closes over the edges.
Works as described. Sensible engineering. Thank you!
I'm using my small Trelino in my cargo van as an on the road or in the camp toilet. I was using a bucket toilet with a non integrated urine sparater that I had to screw to a toilet seat and cut out the rim of the bucket to make it work. The trelino is integrated well, is small, and convenient. Much better than my bucket DIY. I am considering getting a larger one from my 26ft trailerable sailboar. Might I suggest you look to expanding your design to consruct a watertight sewage bucket for whitewater rafting wilderness trips. The current designs do not include a uring separator which would be a good addition.
These are the best bags, thick and sturdy to provide confidence they won’t break or tear.
We purchased the Trelino Evo L for use in our camper van after doing a lot of research. The Evo S would have fit better, but we wanted more volume so we wouldn't have to dump/dispose of waste so often. I agree with many of the reviews that the price for this toilet is a bit much. Our cassette toilet had at least the same build quality and volume, but was 1/4 of the price. The Evo L is fairly comfortable to use and when not in use as a toilet we use it as an extra seat in the van. There is no odor from the toilet with the lid closed. There is an odor from the pee container when the lid is open, but we have controlled it fairly well using a vinegar/water spray after each use and adding a cup or two of vinegar to the empty container after each emptying. We are still experimenting to find the best solution. We have emptied the container after a maximum of 4 days of use and probably could have gone 1 more day. We use sawdust to cover the poop and there is virtually no smell. We have gone about 5 days before disposing of the bag that came with the toilet. Overall we are pleased with the purchase, except for the steep cost, and would recommend it to our friends.
I love that I don’t have to empty my Trelino everyday like I did for my toilet bucket, or but RV chemicals for it.
So stylish, light, easy to set up use and clean. Absolutely worth the $!
