The sealing properties of this silicone membrane keep the urine canister closed from the inside, ensuring that liquid is unable to escape from the canister into your toilet and that any smells are kept away. Even if there is any splash from bumpy roads or tipping, this membrane stays put and keeps your space clean and smelling fresh. If you are a full-timer using your Trelino® on a regular basis, the membrane should be replaced every 3 months in order to maintain the fit and sealing properties. For weekend warriors or part time users, this piece should be replaced every 6 months.
Nice that the membrane closures are available. Nice that they work so well at making this toilet odor free. Not so nice that they don’t tell you they need replaced every few months. Wish I knew this when I ordered the toilet, as it would have saved me the $20 shipping fee.
Our replacement membrane was easy to install but I noticed that the flat valve surfaces (where the urine enters the tank) do not close completely. There is a small gap which allows the odor to escape.
I just don’t understand how these bladders keep on falling into the urine container. I don’t know if they get stretched out or I think I put them incorrectly. This new bladder fell in on day two and I almost lose them by emptying the container and flushing them down toilet toilets. So it’s a bit messy to try to filter them out when they do fall in. May I suggest some type of a string or silicone attachment so that it permanently won’t fall into the urine in the urine container.
The package came on the promised date and the product was exactly what I ordered and does its job well!!!!
